The last time I heard anything from Berkeley was on Feb 11 when I received an email from Professor Mahmood, the DGS, saying that they won't be releasing decision results until early March, which is so close, yet so far....

Don't lose hope! The email I received was a personalized one from my future advisor. I have no idea if other professors are sending out similar emails at this time. You might still have a chance!

Thanks so much! This is my third acceptance so far and I honestly feel so lucky to find myself in this position. I honestly did not expect things to go this well, especially having been rejected across the board last year. Good luck to all of you still waiting to hear back!! Thank you silsab! No, I did not get an interview first. I also did not reach out to my potential advisor before hand (for UT Austin, or any of the other schools to which I applied). I have never heard that rumor before and don't really think it applies to Austin at the grad level at least. I think what Ajtz'ihb said is right though. I'm from New Jersey.

Oops forgot to post a reply... So when I got the CLS award 3 years ago, they gave me until March 15 to accept/decline, which was exactly a month after they sent out the final decisions. Don't know what date the awardees from the last few years had until to accept though...
