Thank you guys so much for the support. It really DOES make a difference. I applied for creative writing, so I'm going to look for writer's residencies and hope to find something else. Same here! I grew up in the corn fields of Western Illinois, and we had scares every spring. It never stops being terrifying. So glad your family is safe!

I was busy all weekend and didn't check the forum. I'm hoping this is the week for Switzerland!!

This whole week has been awful for me. I have drafts due for a section of my thesis today. Yesterday I fell into the toilet at work. Last night I got a splinter in my foot from my own floor. Plus, I look fat in EVERYTHING. And I haven't heard from Fulbright!!!!

Congrats to the Latvians! And I hope more funding opens up for the alternates. At this point, I think ANYthing is possible. What a weird year!

That would KILL me. I'd like to give my job at least SOME notice, ya know? I know they said by the end of May at the latest, but I am hoping that it's earlier than that. It's officially mid-May right now, so I'm hoping for next week.
