So this year the MA process was a little different, and I applied directly to the NSERC site (for SSHRC) in preparation for my second year of MA... I am impatient to know when I will know if my proposal made it to round 2...

Anyone going to Carleton University in the Fall? I have been accepted into a Masters program and I will be moving from Alberta at the end of August.

They cover my costs for the first year but barely. I will probably still have to work few hours to complement my income and will need to apply for more scholarships in my second year.

I will be studying at Carleton, so I need to look for housing... Is there a good place to look for housing? Is kijiji the best option? Also, what are the best places to find jobs in ottawa? Is it doable if you are not bilingual in French?

I am waiting on two schools and I know for sure that some people already received their offers! I emailed them and they continue to tell me that they are still working on it.... really?

It seems I will be moving to Ottawa next fall. Any tips? Advice for housing? places to buy food? volunteering? and ultimately part-time jobs?

Hello all! I was just recently granted admission to a program at Carleton University. I was given some funding that includes 3 scholarships over the next two years,.... However, there was no offer of assistanship or anything,... they also told me it is not possible to get one if you were not offered so at the beginning. Should I be disappointed?
