  1. Ah, sweet, thanks! When I tried to view it from the shortcut link, it would only display the visitor's profile picture, but blank out all the other information and it'd said something about updating to to Premium LinkedIn. Going through the location you suggested above, turns out I'd only been unable to view it because my settings had selected to browse anonymously, which meant others browsing my profile would be anonymous too. But after I'd switched the settings, it cleared the viewer history too D: Oh well, should work from now on though
  2. Wait, do you have to have a premium LinkedIn to see who's checked your profile recently?
  3. Make sure to answer phone calls from unknown numbers as well!
  4. Also curious about whether the tidbit about UCLA, Madison, UCSD, and Columbia making offers before the 31st is verified information for this year? So that common adage about how no news is good news? Gauging from past years acceptance/rejection data, there's a negative correlation between time elapsed (since notification of the first acceptance) and chances of acceptance... no news would be probably the worst news. Ack.
  5. Not sure whether I should bother submitting an application to the circus... I'm worried that it might be too much of a 'Reach' On a more serious note, things feel a bit more real now that we're on the 2014 side of the 2013/2014 school year.
  6. Thanks for the input, guys! Hope everyone's having a great holiday break so far
  7. Kind of curious about application updates as well, especially for schools are on a semester system and have additional grades come out in December...
  8. Most schools are understanding of the fact that sometimes LORs get submitted late due to factors that are beyond [the applicant's] control - don't lose heart yet! (One of my LORs was a bit late for a couple of schools as well, and I was told that it wouldn't be the deal breaker.)
  9. LOL this is amazing! I have a friend who's like that too, except in person. We'll be talking, and she'll randomly go, "wow, I look really good today!"
  10. Okay, cool, that's awesome to know! ^ Definitely sounds logical too.
  11. Wait, so if you deferred last cycle, are you still holding that offer while applying to additional ones? :S
  12. I would imagine that, much like any other sort of experience, relevance would be a big factor. If you're looking to study IR with a focus on European relations, and happened to have interned at the European Parliament or something, that would probably beneficial. If you went backpacking for a couple months to do some soul searching, while that's a cool anecdote, it wouldn't translate as directly into something that would affect your course of study as a grad student as concretely.
  13. From what I've heard, it can. Good luck!
  14. This is reassuring to hear! I'd been kind of curious about how adaptive sections would affect scores if the second section gets harder. Just to confirm - this is applicable for the verbal section as well, yes?
