  1. LOL let me be quiet and not jinx us! If we believe hard enough we will get our decisions tomorrow then we will! Fingers crossed! I'm just so tired of waiting I just want to know alreadyyyyh! Good luck everyone!
  2. Are you guys so sure we will all find out our fates tomorrow? Knowing my luck, I feel like tomorrow will still be another "under consideration" day...
  3. I applied Oct 26 first application I submitted! And here we are still waiting... I def am in! We can make the big bucks with the 2015 entering class! One thing though I don't want to be in charge of the moral support department of our new venture I'm not good at cheering people up. I will most likely tell them they are doomed like I was lol
  4. Angie do not get discouraged yet about the scholarship being refused! If it turns out to be the case you still have many options including your other top choice Sciences Po!
  5. Ha ha you're not an outsider a LOT of us applied to Sciences Po as well but we don't talk about it much now because we already got our decisions... no excruciating wait like for IHEID!
  6. Time to change your signature to IHEID--->Accepted!!! :-)
  7. Welcome kittythrones! Glad you are joining us and don't hesitate to participate! That double degree is super competitive I considered it but the cost in itself was a deterrent. Good luck! Oh great! Congratulations Curious_Grad! Bringing some hope for a reply to the board. You applied for the first round or second? I'm trying to see if any first rounders heard back finally
  8. Congratulations Katrun! That's a great school see it's not all bad news this week!
  9. Well I am stalking IHEID's facebook page and Ms Eicher is replying to a few students who like us are dying of anxiety just waiting day after day and here is what she replied: "We are processing every application one after the other, without consideration of admission status. Paola Eicher" This explains why decisions are trickling in so slowly and doesn't mean that the rest of us were rejected... at least I hope not! Hang in there!
  10. Thanks you guys this is very enlightening! And all this time I was under the impression that Sciences Po and LSE would cost more overall. But then again can't compare a 1 year program to a 2 year one. But it is definitely making me pause and think twice about IHEID it's mighty expensive for a school virtually no one has heard of outside the IO bubble... Maybe now that rejection email that is taking so much time to get to me will sting a bit less...
  11. How did you come up with those numbers? I've been crunching LSE vs Sciences Po lately I'm not including IHEID to not jinx myself but I was under the impression that Geneva was cheaper even after including cost of living. Our Development Management program at LSE is roughly 18,000 pounds (30,000 US dollars) and IHEID will cost for 2 years 10,000 swiss francs (11,500 US dollars) you think it will cost more than 25,000 dollars a year to live in Geneva?!
  12. As much as I would love to balance out your negative thoughts I am really out of positive thinking! I really don't know what to think at this point... where are first rounders decisions!? Everyday I wake up thinking today is the day...
  13. Congrats to Fahad and Yuanchen Cai! Good to see MIA are also starting to get their decisions! I just checked my status just in case and nope... still under consideration!
  14. You know that their deadline is April 3rd... it's not too late for you to join us in Paris! You can join Mickun on their winefest well I'm more of a foodie myself so you can come along my (cheap) food tour ha ha! As for no rejections from IHEID let's not be naive here... I'm sure lots of rejections have been handed out since January but no one is eager to go online and declare that they have been rejected! That's why we see ecstatic students happy to share the good news but very few bad news shared...
  15. Well well... they say no news is good news but at this point I have my doubts! So no one has heard anything so far from IHEID! Here I was hoping that Monday would be a new day but we are all still 'under consideration' oh how I hate that word! Even most new posters are not back... so I guess no one has heard anything at all that's crazy!
  16. So Brandeis didn't give you a decision yet? Man that sucks I hate when they give you a specific timeframe and don't abide by it. Hang in there! This is going to be a loooong weekend. It's weird to wish that the weekend go by faster but that's exactly how I feel! I want to be next week already.
  17. Congrats on IHEID! For UCL I applied pretty early and I heard back so fast it took like 3 weeks. I assume right now is busier so it might take longer to get a decision. I did not get an email from UCL just logged into Portico and there was my offer. I received a letter offer in the mail much later but it was pretty much the printout of the online offer. For LSE it felt like it took forever! You can start counting 8 weeks from the time you receive their 4th email after you have submitted your application where they tell you how to track your status and all that. It took longer than that for me (include holiday/new year break) . I received an email from LSE as soon as a decision was available no need to frantically check the LSE for you tracker. Hope that helps, Good luck!
  18. Congralutations Unicorn! It certainly means you were offered admission! As another poster said it is their first year using the automated process so everything is a bit buggy still I'm sure that probably explains the painfully slow time it takes for them to notify everyone.
  19. Ah thanks Mych good to know! I even got to read the message sent to admitted students... at least I will know what an admission message looks like if I get the other version
  20. It's morning here and I'm quite surprised that NO ONE has heard anything from IHEID whether it is MIA or MDev. What about Phd applicants? Any news...? I just want to know who the heck they are notifying this week. Or maybe they focused on rejections this week and saving the best for last *wishful thinking*
  21. Mickun you cracked me up! This has made my decision easier! I can go learn about wines who needs Geneva? While you'll be drinking I'll be eating fine cheeses and croissant everything under the sun!
  22. I was hoping to wake up to tons of posts here about a few people getting some decisions but nothing! Well whether we get no news, good news or bad news I'm still here ha ha
  23. Oh well yes when you put it that way i see what you mean! Thanks. It's true that there are so many ways to work for IO's that it's hard to even picture a clear path to one's goals in this field. It's a double edged sword really...
  24. Congrats again! I think picking a school... any school whether it's undergrad or anything is always a tough choice. One has to balance personal preference with what's the most financially advantageous choice with geographical factors along with other academic/personal factors. The easy part is when you only have one obvious choice. How is picking business school any easier? Please enlighten me.
  25. Well see you're always more optimistic than I am! I hope you are right I would hate to spend yet another weekend obsessing about my chances...
