  1. Hi, in my case there funding offer came with the departmental admission offer letter. If you didnt get any in that then I dont think any money has been given. You might want to contact Eunice Kim for further clarifications. Are you going to take up the offer?
  2. Hey sklorange, I am also a grad student heading to Berkeley in the Fall although I am heading to the College of Natural Resources, however I was hunting for housing and thought we could hunt houses together with any other new students who might be heading to Berkeley in the Fall. Let me know if you have any ideas about housing. Cheers
  3. Hi Etownenviro, Thanks for your extremely detailed review of the SNRE admitted students day. I also got that sense of togetherness from my interactions with students. Also I feel SNRE as a whole is very invested in ensuring that all their students do well. Which has kind of put me in a mess in choosing between Berkeley and Michigan Therefore I was wondering what sense did you get in terms of the strengths of SNRE in terms of subject areas where it is relatively stronger as compared to some others specifically in terms of renewable energy technology and policy. My sense is that it is stronger in environmental conservation, justice and related areas as compared to renewable technology if one looks at the various research centres at SNRE and within the larger UM campus when I compare it to the research going on at Berkeley. Let me know what u finally decided as we reach the final stretch of the application process. Cheers
  4. Bump... Any feedback from the visit day for admitted students at SNRE?
  5. What was your general sense about the SNRE program as compared to the one at Bren. I am unable to decide between the two because Bren gave me more funding while the program at SNRE looks more attractive. Any inputs on that?
  6. hey any updates about official letters from UCB graduate division or funding?
  7. @Etownenviro, could you post your review of the admitted students day. I am currently deciding between Berkeley MDP and Michigan SNRE so any inputs would be very helpful, particularly in terms of negotiating further financial aid if possible
  8. I have been admitted to the UMich SNRE with a focus on sustainable systems. Anyone have any idea on what is the possibility of securing additional funding since tuition is so expensive.....

  10. i guess they will send out all letters together since there are only a few students accepted every year. Keikojo what is your reading about the program in terms of curriculum, research opportunities, networking etc?
  11. Yes I have applied to the Atmosphere/Energy program at Stanford and emailed admissions yesterday about the status of my application to which they said that the admissions committee is still making decisions and would be making them throughout the week.
  12. Hey Method, thanks for volunteering to help. I have been admitted to SNRE and am very interested in the Erb institute which houses the combined MS/MBA program. I was wondering how difficult it is to actually enroll for the dual degree at Ross once you are at Umich, does it help that you are already a current student because the combination looks incredibly amazing. Thanks.
  13. So I have an unofficial confirmation of admission from the program coordinator and I see that they are a few other acceptances so I thought we could al share our thoughts about the program while waiting for official letters.
  14. HI I am also waiting for the MEM at Yale. I noticed that pabloenvivo you have also been admitted to the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, any thoughts on that in terms of how it compares to the other more established schools like Yale and Duke? Also did you receive any funding from Bren?
