I'm very sorry I didn't adhere to her child-free "movement".. I would be getting a lot more sleep if I had just accepted a stranger's lifestyle choices as my own.. oh well.. next week I'll return to lab and find out how productive I can be while ridiculously sleep-deprived.

I didn't think first year would be hard enough, so I'm having a baby this summer.

Got UNC acceptance first thing this morning! Looks like I'm moving to Chapel Hill! Good luck everyone else waiting for them.

I interviewed the weekend before you. I assume they're sending out decisions to the earliest weekends now and will get to us next week. Who knows. If they take me then I'm definitely attending. If not, then it's UVA. Still waiting on Emory too but I won't be going there even if accepted.

There's been 1 acceptance posted per day for the past 5 business days and it's driving me nuts. Hopefully we'll hear soon too. When did you interview?

Someone has posted a UNC BBSP acceptance in the results. I didn't think I could check my email any more than I already was.. but I was wrong.

Accepted to UVA BIMS today.. They made me wait a month after the interview but the wait was worth it. I am so happy right now!

I had a tornado siren go off in the middle of one of my interviews today.. So that was a new experience! The PI didn't stop talking and I had trouble paying attention for the rest of the interview.

I'm in the immunology/microbiology cluster.

Anyone else interviewing at UVA this week?

It looks like UVA BIMS has 5 admissions clusters, so the timing of interview invites may depend on which research disciplines we chose in our applications. I'm assuming that the 8 spots for 130 applicants statement was based on just one of the clusters and all of BIMS, since the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology graduates about 10 people per year by itself.

Duke rejection today. Boo.

I don't know that anyone here applied to UPenn IGG, but they have finished sending out invites.

Emory IMP is still reviewing applications for anyone who applied there.

Anyone know interview dates for Duke Immunology or Hopkins SOM Immunology (not MMI)?

What's your source? It's somewhat hard to discuss without knowing what data you're looking at. Do you have stats for non-STEM & MBA fields? I'm sure a lot of people are making a mistake by going to grad school.. even those who finish. But I would also say that failing to finish doesn't mean that it was a mistake to try.

UVA BIMS. Applications may be split up based on the interests you list on your application because I listed Immunology as my first choice discipline and my email was from the director of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology.
