  1. I already had a feeling that phd programs were going to be a stretch but I'm still going to apply just in case. I'm applying to 10-13 schools, some masters, some phd. Not to toot my own horn but ignoring for a moment my poor performance in school nearly 10 years ago I am a pretty solid candidate for grad school. But I still think this will hold me back...
  2. Hello. I went to college first in 2003 and did very badly. Took several years off went to a CC and transferred to my current state school. I've done quite well here with all the necessary achievements such as publications, internships, high GPA, research position, and strong LORs. I am preparing for applying to grad schools but I'm just nervous about how my first year will be received by admissions committees even though it was a long time ago. I'd like to apply directly to PhD programs. I've also been told to contact professors directly who I'd like to work with but I don't really know what to ask them. I'm planning on applying to programs focusing on Baroque art especially Dutch baroque with an emphasis on print making and prints done after artists such as Rembrandt. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks for reading.
