  1. It's interestering to hear that you heard back about your waiver so quickly because I sent in the form from the SCSU website about a month ago and still have not heard anything! However, I was told by the speech department that you can be admitted to the program before the scores/waiver is in, but not the actual graduate school itself. It's so confusing, and it looks like I'll be making some calls tomorrow!
  2. Someone just posted an acceptance to UNH, my top choice! My anxiety has completely shot through the roof. I just want to know!
  3. That's great to hear! I'm looking forward to checking out the town and facilities. I'm hoping I'll like it as much as your cousin!
  4. pitt123, I learned how to crochet and I've also started to run. They've definitely made me feel a little bit better about the waiting game.
  5. I was just offered an interview at SUNY Plattsburgh! While it's not my top choice (as of now), I'm thrilled that I wasn't flat out rejected. Now, hopefully the weather will hold up so I can make the trip!
  6. My dream is to get into at least one school! My hope is to go to the University of New Hampshire. I would love to be closer to my family, and the program is perfect for my professional goals. My guess is that I may get one or two acceptances, and the rest either wait lists or rejections.
  7. My anxiety has shot up today as I realized that an application that was sent in (and confirmed delivered by the postal service) at least 3 weeks ago hasn't been confirmed yet, and my application fee hasn't been taken from my account, While I'm now worried sick, I can't wait to call in the morning to get everything straightened out! Thankfully, if anything's wrong, the application isn't due until March 1st. At least we are another day closer to March, and hopefully another day closer to hearing back from our potential schools! I'll be with you all, watching netflix and trying to be attentive in classes. I've also taken up crocheting as a stress reliever, which is super relaxing!
  8. I've been lurking for a while and haven't posted but I feel like I'm in the same boat as many of you. I have a 3.49 cumulative GPA (3.7 last 60 credits) with a 150 on both GRE Q and V and a 4.5 on writing. I have some research experience, and I will be presenting at the Pennsylvania state conference this April, and my research group is preparing a manuscript for publication. I've applied to less competitive schools, with my top choice being the University of New Hampshire. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else on here that has applied there. The anxiousness of waiting to hear back from anywhere is really getting to me. Good luck to us all!
  9. I would mention it, but briefly. I'm in the same boat and I think it shows a lot about your motivation and that you can succeed in the program. Good luck!
  10. Hey everyone! I'm new here, although I've been browsing for a while. I'm currently a senior at Towson University applying for SLP programs in the fall. I'm almost done submitting my applications. Hopeful schools: University of New Hampshire, Southern Connecticut State University, St. John's, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Plattsburgh Good luck to everyone! We can do it!
