I just discovered a new first world problem... I got a phone call this morning with a caller ID that read St. Louis, MO. I had a mild panic attack thinking it was WashU. But then I remembered I live in St. Louis and it was just Walgreens calling to let me know my prescription is ready. I need a sedative now. Good thing I'm going to the pharmacy.

We let out steam about our waiting period woes while talking about our favorite alcoholic beverages and current Netflix binge shows. It's basically a thread to pass the time while we wait for the survey to refresh.

Is that in DBBS (I ask because I know Neurosci is)? But yeah rejections from that depeartment went out this week. Two waves of interview invites have gone out already. I've heard nothing back, and the one official interview day is Feb. 26. :|

WashU started sending out rejections two days ago....so, uh......to the beer!

I'm still waiting for mine! I rather that than this radio silence a full month past the deadline.

Considering it's already January, I'm honestly waiting for the rejection email...

I'm more of a beer person. Because I'm applying specifically in MO, I've been drinking exclusively Schafly (local St. Louis brew) for good mojo. Unfortunately, I don't know how to pronounce it.

I gotta say, it is terrifying to only have one interview. A lot is riding on this one interview. But we should focus on the interviews that we do have rather than the rejections we may get.

Ditto. It gives me so much anxiety because I haven't heard back from anywhere yet. I know the application circumstances are different for everyone, but it kinda makes me feel kinda down...

My sentiments exactly. I even applied low, like scrapping the bottom of the barrel (with the exception of WashU), because of my poor undergraduate years weighing me down. Best we can do is hope, but I can tell you that your stats are better than mine and you should stand a better chance. Good luck
