tired of checking my mail every 5 mins... :/

i Would say go to geneva ... i lived there for a while i was doing an internship at the world health organization. It's an amazing place with lot of organization headquarters and lot of international students . Georgetown is good but in terms of exposure to the work of international organizations,, you can't get better than geneva. 2) you get to learn french which is a strong asset if you want to work internationally

Whic programs did you apply to ? if i may ask? -
which programs (schools) are you applying to in the uk? i was also considering applying to the UK schools but many programs want you to write a research proposal first.. i simply do not have the time right now . Columbia, hopkins, berkeley etc offer good drph programs . i just felt like a lot of people applying to the new harvard Drph are just going after the brand. I do not see how different it is. Two they are still busy remodelling the curriculum . i am sure your work experience makes you a competitve applicant.

i know a lot of people who've applied to the harvard drph, however, it was very confusing to know what exactly they are looking for in applicants. Two , also had a hard time figuring out what courses were going to be taught.SO i decided to apply to the EPI SD instead.

if you are interested in policy/management just choose the mph in health policy or whatever that you are interested in . I interned at the world health organization last summer, and all the staff there advised me to choose a specific track. when you just have an mph in global health , nobody knows what exactly you are good at, all of them told me that. i am not saying it's a bad choice . but you gotta know how to market yourself ...... -

livenlearn replied to faithfullywaiting's topic in Public Health Forum
honestly global health is such a broad topic , it is better do an mph in ID epi with a global health certificate -
They are very inconsiderate. I submitted my application in september then sent plenty of e-mails to know if they had received my application . i did not get any feedback. Then on december 7th, a week after the deadline, they sent me a mail to tell me that my application is incomplete and will not be processed. You got to be kidding right. A lot of my friends had a similar experience. Last year, a friend of mine received an offer a week before the start of the academic year...... BAM.
