This gives you a chance to prove you either do or do not belong at their graduate program. If you really want to go there and can handle the finances then I'd say go for it and after a year or whatever they deem necessary petition to join the Ph.D program. if you get better offers elsewhere, then I would pursue those instead. It really depends on what your other options are.

setite: Good Luck!

Thanks for the heads up! I was debating calling them today.

Just got the acceptance to SPU! Dr. Kendall's RVT.
-
Believe it or not, STILL no word. How about on your end?
-
No word from Seattle Pacific thus far.

Anyone hear from DePaul?
-
It's been radio silence the whole way with the HF programs. I'm hoping we get some notice soon.

Some of these, from what I've seen, mean you are on a waitlist. It seems that quite a few people end up on these unmentioned lists, so it's difficult to determine what your real chances are. Every year people are picked up off of waitlists though, so don't lose hope.

I received a few linkedIn views prior to receiving interviews. Some are actually hidden, and only say the institution they are affiliated with.

ioioioio: This information was from the program chair.

I am still waiting to hear from FIT. Didn't get an interview yet or anything either, just silence. Also anyone waiting to hear anything from Auburn: If you haven't received a rejection or interview offer via email then you have been waitlisted.
-
Can the poster for the Auburn interview PM me their POI info? Congrats BTW!
-
I can't speak for graddood15, but am going to the Ph.D interview day.
-
hmm, can you share the POI from FIT via PM?
-
I will be attending the interview day at Seattle Pacific. What RVT are you interested in? You local?

Do you have any idea when Roosevelt is making decisions? I applied there this cycle.

Yep, I got a standard rejection email from UCF today. That stung a bit. Oh well, I had 1 interview already last weekend, and another lined up in 2 weeks. Still have 10 other schools to hear from as well.

While, the quantity of applications does vary year to year it seems like the number is steadily climbing. Programs that would have been considered reasonably competitive with maybe double to triple the applicants per slots available a couple years ago now receive hundreds of applicants for 2-5 positions available. It's scary when you see unfunded programs turning away countless students that are pretty much willing to take out a fortune in student loans just to get into grad school.

That's good to hear! I have little appreciation for the GRE as well. My scores weren't terrible, but a rigorous study plan would have certainly improved them significantly. After dropping approx. 3K on applications this year I think if I don't get in anywhere then I will go back to work and ponder it for a while. I am anxious to see what comes of UCF, I've seen in the results search that they tend to make some later offers and then at other times make very early ones, so this ought to be a fun ride. Wait lists are all the more interesting when you don't even know you are on one and are just sitting on your hands waiting for the rejection to come in the mail.

I'd likely just go get another job, I already have an M.A. and am leaving a rather well paid career field to pursue my Ph.D. I think I'm marketable far more in the world of paid industry than I am to graduate schools (highly technical career, significant managerial and leadership skills while working with millions in assets.). My GRE's weren't stellar, but I also was working 12 hours a day and finishing up some courses, so I pretty much went in blind. I probably should have taken them again, but I kept hearing that they really only get you past a cutoff, not in the door. Now that it's too late I tend to wonder.

Would the person that got the UCF acceptance be willing to PM me details? I'm hoping not all offers have been extended.
-
Good luck to you as well. Hopefully we all get some good news soon.

Is it just me or are Social Psych admissions slow?

I applied to some I-O and HF programs and I'm struggling here! Seeing all these clinical applicants pinning down interviews has only raised my anxiety.
