  1. Hi everyone, So this year I was accepted into Neuroscience PhD. This is my first time applying, and I've taken two years off where I've been working completely out of research (in sales). My school has been calling me waiting for my decision. They just offered me a little bit more money, which shocked me. I feel like a subpar student who has somehow "sold" a PhD committee on the idea that I am worthy of being in one of these programs. Even though I've been talking about pursuing the PhD for years now that it is decision time I've almost talked myself out of it completely. Has anyone else had feelings like this?
  2. Does anyone know if UCLA or Emory are done sending out invites?
  3. Does anyone know how priority falls on Ph.D. candidates that are invited to the first vs. the second round of interviews? Are candidates selected from both "groups" without bias after that point, or do candidates that are offered the early date have priority? Just curious if anyone had insight.
  4. Congrats imitosis! What are your stats? Who is the lucky one that got into Vermont?
  5. Thank you to both of you - I appreciate the insight. I'll contact the programs and let them know.
  6. Hi everyone, Small dilemma. I already submitted my apps with my updated CV to grad schools. Just got word from an old PI today that she submitted a paper to a big journal, and I'm an author on it. I already listed my two published second author papers, but I'd love to have this on there as well. Is it too late to change anything? If I do list this paper, do I list it as "In preparation" or "submitted"? Thanks for your help --
