Hi, I am going to be a 2nd year graduate student at MSU. I am hoping to rent out a room in my condo. The condo is 7 min away from campus by car. The condo is located in a very quiet area and because all the condos are privately owned, there are no undegrads around. The rent is $425 with everything included except gas and electrical. I think your question is way too broad. It really depends on what company you work at and the location.

I won't be able to meet with the prof in person because I am an incoming student and I need to have the summer rotation set up before I move there. Do you know what type of comment I should make about their lab? Is it enough to just say that my research interest is a good fit with their lab's research? Thanks!

Hi, I'll be attending MSU this fall. Do you have any housing suggestions? I want to live as close to campus as possible because I won't have a car. Is the noise issue a really big problem if I lived near campus? How often do the CATA buses run? Thanks!

Can anyone give any apartment suggestions? I won't have a car so I'm hoping to find something close to campus or to a bus line.

I feel the same way...its probably not as bad as The Hunger Games cause its not really life and death but it is life changing... these past few weeks have been super brutal. Whether its good or bad news, I just want to know.

I saw your post with your stats and research background..you will definitely get tons of interviews... I only applied to 1 program and I'm interviewing there next month...I'm just worried how competitive I am compared to the other applicants..
