I'm looking for roommates too, but from what I understand it's not going to be likely to find a place now for august. probably wanna start searching again a bit closer to then.
Good luck! I am in literature, but very interested in philosophy and its relation to literature so if you do end up over there I'm sure we'll run into each other!
Thanks for the advice guys. I put my name on the waiting list for graduate housing but I guess judging from the prices I might be better off searching for a room in queens or Brooklyn. I'll put that off to a time closer to when I'd be coming to NY. For the meantime feel free to message me if anyone is searching for potential flatmates.
btw, what field are you in perpetuavix?
Hey guys, I have decided to accept my offer from The Graduate Center and will be heading there this Fall! Look forward to hearing from more incoming students!
In my acceptance letter, they mentioned funding. From what I've been told (from faculty at my undergraduate institute) the Graduate Center is perceived favorably and has a good program. A friend of mine in English spoke very highly of their English program as well. From what I've heard and seen, it seems great but I am still wondering how it's perceived from outside the region. Does anyone know anything about their placement record?
Hi guys, I am considering an offer from CUNY for French and I was wanted to ask you guys in general how CUNY is perceived by others. For example, to you guys, why would you be interested in going there ? I know its a different field, but it's still literature and there's some overlap (lit. theory, etc.)
Thanks !
Hey guys, I was accepted to CUNY's PhD for French and was wondering in general how the program is viewed. From what I've seen, the faculty and graduate students seem great and the program seems to be tip-top. But I'd like to know how it's perceived by others and if anyone else here is considering going to CUNY ?
Thank you !
