This is a fairly broad description, but I'm interested in how social media and Internet impacts people's behavior both on and off-line. (For example, my thesis focused on why people are sometimes so quick to disclose personal information online.) I also focus on how people interact with technology, and how it can be made more user-friendly and accessible to new learner's.

I am applying to Social Psychology PhD programs at all but one school (Human Factors and Applied Cognition at NC State). My research interests are centered on real world vs. online behaviors and the impacts of social media and technology usage. I found out via email this past weekend. Did you apply to BASP as well?

Found out I was placed on the wait list for CUNY's Basic & Applied Social Psych program. This is my top choice, so it's nice to still have a little bit of hope that I'll get in. P.S. if you plan on declining an offer from them, please do it soon. My poor little heart can't deal with waiting anymore. =P

I haven't heard a peep from them yet. No change on the online portal either.

They are expecting to start sending out official decisions by the beginning of March. I emailed them for a status update and was told I wouldn't be offered admission because my POI didn't receive funding for new students.
