SarahReed got a reaction from Fantasmapocalypse in Submit CV instead of resume?
CV is used primarily when applying for international, academic, education, scientific or research positions or when applying for fellowships or grants. For most other jobs, a resume is the convention.

Very well said! But you can add a short para of Teaching philosophy (Although you don't really need it) but it would only add a little bit more to your resume (which is in my opinion is a good thing).

SarahReed reacted to Pauli in need advice regarding putting unpublished paper on resume!
You may want to not include this journal publication on your resume. If the review committee checks more closely, they may disregard this publication since it wasn't formally published, or in the worst case, consider it unethical to include it since it isn't officially published or on track to be published.

Would anybody interested in helping me compile a list of job searching sites? I'm specifically looking for software engineering jobs, but even if it's a general job search site it could still be beneficial.

    http://craigslist.org/ (the obvious first)
    http://www.startuply.com
    http://www.careerinfonet.org/
    http://www.careerbuilder.com/
    http://www.monster.com/
    http://jobs.oodle.com/
    http://www.ontargetjobs.com/
    http://www.simplyhired.com/
    http://www.snagajob.com/
    http://www.trovix.com/
    http://www.beyond.com/
    http://www.hound.com/
    http://www.indeed.com/
    http://us.jobs/
    http://www.jobserve.com/
    http://www.jobster.com/

I'm hoping gradcafe members could help with finding the more obscure ones. I've heard everybody applies for everything on monster and careerbuilder. I'm looking for sites not known by the bots, if you know what I mean.

If anyone could lend a hand at all, I'd certainly appreciate it.
    Thanks.
