  1. I had a sinking feeling that --that (refusal) on the admission portal was the correct status. Whoever created the drafts for the automatic reply to applicants must have made a mistake...
  2. Thank you for that, it made me smile. I needed that with this confusion. I heard something similar happening to what was it Yale or one of the other Ivy Leagues --a few months ago. Wow what a mess. It's 2:45am here in California and now I'm waiting patiently --again to see what was correct or not.
  3. Don't count yourself out yet... As much as I hate to admit this but I have a feeling that it's not as binding as they say. Someone who got admitted with the "Congratulations" wording + "April 15th" deadline might be the correct e-mail wording for the admitted applicants. Which totally sucks for me --and several others
  4. I completely agree!! ;-) Question --I read somewhere that someone who got admitted last week got an e-mail with "Congratulations" is that an indicator sign? I got to admit that whenever I was accepted to a university --a "Congratulations" is included on the message. Hmm... Doesn't bode well for the e-mail that I received since I got an acceptance but a refusal in the online portal. Wow. I'm starting to be really mad because of the glitch. Actually more sad. This is actually worst than an outright refusal because some where given hope when in the end they got a refusal.
  5. Same boat. I got an e-mail with the following wording..."We are pleased to inform you that the Admission Committee of the Graduate Institute, Geneva has decided to offer you admission to one of our programmes in light of your excellent academic credentials. In order to learn more about this decision..." But when I go to the application module, I got a refusal. Could you confirm? I sent a reply back to the e-mail, on Facebook, and to Paola. Hopefully, one will be able to respond before the end of the day. But whatever they did, they put a lot of applicants in limbo --they probably broke a few hearts because of the mistake.
  6. Yes, me too. I live in CA and since Geneva is ahead, I keep hoping to wake up to an e-mail. For the past couple of weeks, I've been waking up in the middle of the night to check my e-mail to see if I got in or not. But yes, I definitely know the feeling. I really hope that they will send out everything by tomorrow. I hope that we don't get an e-mail saying that it will take another few days to get our notification --that would make my blood boil Grr... I have been so unproductive at work... I keep refreshing the page to see if there's just a delay in the system but alas, there's nothing yet aside from "under consideration" So tired and tense for waiting...
  7. Me too, I haven't heard anything yet. Program that I applied for is MIA. I'm going out of my mind because even though an email says don't check the application portal and that we will be sent an e-mail... I still check. Everyday. For the past 2 weeks... Just curious: does anyone know of anyone who was admitted and was given a scholarship offer?
  8. I actually just checked the IHEID facebook page and this is what I got: "Dear Ashley, we have sent this link to all candidates. Should you wish to apply for housing, you can do so and obviously we will consider your application only once the admission decision is out. Best Paola Eicher" The group on FB is called: The Graduate Institute Geneva And it looks like Paola works for IHEID
  9. I got the exact same housing e-mail and was wondering about that too but I applied for the MIA program! March 15th can't get here soon enough. I want to know. But if the wait means that I get in then it would've been worth it
