This is true, but I wasn't actually using GradCafe when BFB was giving out details. The info I received from my POI was radically different (I guess he was just excited) from the BFB version of admissions, so I had no problem emailing him.
Ripping off the band-aid is great because it eliminates the anxiety over that one school. However, shortly after, negative thoughts such as : "Why them, not me?,"Am I not good enough?," "Did I totally blow my chances by screwing up on that one question they asked because I couldn't handle my nerves?," "Is there something wrong with my research interests?," etc. will creep into your head and stay there for a very long time.
Just a friendly reminder: If you are rejected by one school, it does not mean you will be rejected from schools X, Y, and Z. If you go and look at the SOP/Profile Thread from the 2011-2012 cycle, you will see what I mean.
Also, to make myself feel better, I will be telling myself that all the schools that reject me just could not handle my awesomeness.
