Is anyone else still on Vanderbilt's IGP waitlist? Or does anyone know when they will be giving us a final decision? -

Question for you all....At my interview this past weekend the director came up to me at the final dinner to tell me that I had been nominated for a university fellowship. It sounded like it was a bit of an honor and so I got too excited and forgot to ask questions. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what this might generally mean in terms of funding? The stipend for a university fellowship at this place is actually 2k less than the program stipend, so I'm a little confused why this would be a good thing haha. Also, is it safe to assume that I'll be getting an acceptance here? Thanks for the help!! -

Full tuition (minus fees, not quite sure why), stipend with one semester of required TAing, full health coverage. There is additional support for travel to meetings that they encouraged us to use, and if we are able to get external funding they'll add an additional 2-3k/year as an incentive to apply. The stipend is competitive with other schools in the same range of rankings, they even showed us a cost of living comparison versus some of their competitors haha. -

Question here... I was waitlisted for Vanderbilt's IGP after my interview a couple of weeks ago, which basically means that my application is still in the pile that they're considering for now. Is there anything I can be doing to help my chances at this point? I did pretty well in my classes last semester and made the dean's list (w/2 graduate courses and 3 400 level) so I was thinking about sending them an updated transcript. I'm also planning on sending them a thank you/follow up note to make sure they know I'm still very interested. I'm worried about coming off as too pushy to the adcom...thoughts? Thanks for the help! -

First acceptance to Emory's cancer biology! Came on a great day when WashU and Northwestern both sent out rejections. -

Does anyone know the odds of making it off the waitlist for Vanderbilt's IGP? I really love the program and I just found out that I won't be getting an interview for Northwestern's DGP. Since these were my top two choices I'm starting to get worried.. -

Also, once admitted, all students are guaranteed funding throughout the program. So there's no chance of you getting left behind if your PI loses funding during your time there.
