  1. I was in the grad admissions office at my school. I went to inquire about the status of my application, and the coordinator gave a funny look and said "You were accepted weeks ago. I Know because I filled out the paperwork!" Turns out the graduate school just never bothered to send me an official notification...
  2. Just out of curiosity, (I'm not sure if anyone else here has applied) has anyone heard from Notre Dame yet?
  3. I applied to 15 programs, and have heard back from 9 so far (all rejections). The final 6 are all schools that I feel I have the best chances at, but all of these programs aren't coming out with decisions until mid April! It's starting to get frustrating, but I'd really just like to know if anyone is in the same boat as me. Misery does in fact love company!
  4. I'm 9 for 15 so far. Lots of rejections but there's still hope, and I thankfully have a guaranteed spot at my undergrad institution. On a different note, the rejection letter from Caltech was by far the friendliest and most encouraging letter I've recieved.
  5. Got two rejections so far; one that I wasn't too keen on anyways, but one at a school I thought I had a good chance at and was closely matched with my research interests. Starting to get worried, but I still have 11 programs to hear back from. C'est la vie.

Hopefully my good recommendations from research advisers who know me on a personal level and my SOP will help clarify that a bit. I'm not feeling very confident right now, but stranger things have happened I guess! Good luck to everyone else!
