I removed myself from the University of British Columbia waitlist. Hope this information helps someone!

So I know PGR rank isn't everything and that it doesn't necessarily correlate with placement, but it still seems like it carries at least some weight when it comes to the job market. My question is: what if you are deciding between two schools, one that is (much) higher ranked overall on PGR but is somewhat lower ranked when it comes to your AOI? Any thoughts on which to give greater consideration? Does anyone actually care about subfield rankings?

Can someone explain to me why the most recent CUNY posting is inquiring about female CUNY admits?

I'm seeing some Arizona rejections--one added in the detail that apparently everyone who has been accepted has been notified. But I haven't heard anything yet, positive or negative. Anybody else also in limbo? I'm guessing they maybe just haven't sent out all the rejections yet, though it seems sort of odd that they would send them in waves.

No that was me. I didn't really have a good reason for not posting aside from a nagging intuition, and I think there seem to be good reasons for posting, so there it is.

I also got a UVA admit. I didn't/haven't posted it on the acceptances page because it just seems like a bit of impropriety, but maybe I should? I still don't know how I feel about posting results, but if this information is helpful to you I figure I should at least say something here. So by my count that's five-or-so acceptances accounted for. Sorry, this is probably bad news.

Just out of curiosity, what is your rationale for not waiting to see if you get in? I ask because I'm still trying to figure out this process, and it seems like if you're interested in political philosophy, you would want to wait and see what happens with Arizona.
