sweetpiepear, HopefulMSW, guyinshortsallday, CONGRATS to you three! and everyone else on this forum (there are quite a few of you) who have been accepted to BU. I'm also from the Bay Area. That would be fantastic to meet up. I've never lived on the east coast, so thank you to everyone who's provided lots of tips about Boston, comparative MSW programs etc. So far I have been accepted to Smith, Simmons, and BU for Clinical Social Work. I'm still waiting on BC. So far I've chosen to go to Boston U because of the quality of the program, location, logistics, and above all else they offered me the Urban Practice Scholarship. Smith and Simmons offered me very little and I cannot afford to incur that debt. I'm a little worried about BC because I haven't heard from them. If I'm accepted there, it will be a deliberation between BU and BC depending on the funding. I'm visiting BU in the next few weeks to check out the campus, really excited!

Good luck to everyone waiting on their Ed.M. verdicts! Thanks for the heads up about 3/7 and 3/8! Counting down here too. May everyone practice as much patience as possible and know you're not alone. Anyone know if financial aid info will be released along with the decisions?

Thanks so much for your feedback!! That's extremely helpful. How important are fieldwork placement hours/agency types/internship quality in relation to your future career? Why do you suppose placement agencies in the Boston area give m,ore credit to interns from Smith over interns from schools like BU or BC? (Can you provide examples of agencies?)

Does anyone know anything about Smith's program in comparison to the other programs out in Boston? Please share if you know anything about BU, BC, or Smith. Really appreciate it!
