Is anyone still waiting to hear from Cleveland State? I saw a few results posted but I have yet to hear.... Also, for anyone considering sending a loci, I would recommend sending it to the department chair and/or graduate coordinator. I called and e-mailed schools to ask whom to address the letters and was not given much information. They basically said they were not necessary and would not give me contact information.

Some schools use the phrase "alternate for admission" instead of waitlist. I know it's hard to wait for a response but the University will give you the most direct answer. Best Wishes

Do you think it would be best to mail a letter of continued interest? or is e-mail appropriate? I'm working on mine tonight... I've been waitlisted at 8 schools. Also does anyone know whether to address it to the dean of admissions, departmental head, or the person who sent the waitlist email/letter?

Does anyone know about this program or area? I received an acceptance today but I'm from out of the area (PA).

Last week I got rejected from Old dominion. This morning they sent me an e-mail stating to check my status online??? Thanks, so I can confirm the rejection.

Wow, I can't believe that. If a person is not going to write a positive reference for you then they should decline!

I got waitlisted at several schools and I'm beginning to panic. I thought that hearing from schools would lessen my stress but it's made it even worse. I definitely had an emotional day and a good cry in the shower.

I have been waitlisted at several schools and I'm not feeling too great today. Does anyone have any examples of how to phrase a continued interest e-mail? I'm not exactly sure how to phrase it but I would like to express that I am still interested in these programs. (ebgthree@gmail.com)

If possible, I would explain, to your current professors, the impact this might have on your future and ask for an extra credit assignment. I'm not too familiar with online courses, however, I would want to call my professors instead of e-mailing them. Does your acceptance letter specify any conditions that you must meet? I would try to find out what the university's admissions policy is and what they can legally do. Honestly, I do not think you have anything to worry about because of how strong your academics have been thus far. Though, it is important to have all of your bases covered. Best wished but I'm sure it will work out just fine.

The past 24 hrs have been crazy. I heard back from my first school and I got an invitation to interview at Our Lady of the Lake University. I also received my first waitlist and my first rejection. The interview definitely has softened the blow. I'm really excited to travel to TX for the first time. I hope I don't let my nerves get to me for the interview (article discussion)!

I'm sorry to hear about UT. I know it's cliche to say but everything happens for a reason and you have an amazing offer at TCU! Congrats on the interview and I also got an invitation to interview there!!! This is the first school I've heard back from so I'm very excited/nervous. You are right, I'm usually more patient but the control freak in me is trying to claw its way out. I second all of those. I like all of the netflix original series. I also recommend bates motel, Longmire, Rita (dry humor), hit & miss, and Top of the Lake .

I've gone from every other day feeling optimistic and then feeling doubtful to multiple times a day wavering between the two. My roommate gave me the "don't worry about it, you'll get in somewhere," line. Hearing that is like nails on a chalk board right now. I thought I might hear back from a school or two this week but it looks like March 15th is the more accurate date. Pintrest is getting me through all the craziness. This weekend I'll be making a crate bookshelf.
