Anyone claim the U Pittsburgh acceptance? I'm curious about your interests (and stats if you don't mind sharing) because Pitt's one of the top schools on my list but I only applied by the Jan deadline. It'll be a while before I hear from them I think!

Chronic disease/social epi -- so far, I applied to 7 schools (UNC,Yale,Drexel,OSU,Maryland,USouthCarolina,Pittsburgh). 1 more to go (Colorado)! How about you?

I know.. I was told that they hope to make all decisions by early March, but I assume that's what they tell everybody regardless of when they actually make individual decisions. I hope anyway! What's your focus within Epi?

Have not heard from UNC (waiting is SO painful!). I applied by the 12/15 deadline, when did you guys apply to the Epi program?

Anybody wants to claim the Drexel University interview? I am curious as to when you applied, since they told me (applied 12/15) that apps won't even be looked at until this week! And what are your interests?

Undergrad School: Small Liberal Arts School in PA Undergrad GPA: 3.3 Major/Minor: Health Sciences/Anthropology Grad School: MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in PA Grad GPA: 3.9 GRE: 85th percentile verbal, 85th percentile quantitative, 82nd percentile analyticalExperience/Research: Working as a Graduate Research Assistant at a relevant Research Center in my school and as a TA for an Intro Epi course. Have worked on multiple projects and internships. No peer-reviewed journal publication but 2 community briefs published, working on the 3rd. Also working on my master's thesis which will be published. Worked with SAS and ArcGIS. Interested in social/environmental epi with a focus on nutrition/chronic diseases and spatial analyses. Applying to: UNC, Yale , Pittsburgh, University of Maryland, Ohio State, Drexel - All are PhD in Epi programs with professors with matching research interests! Accepted: Rejected: Waitlisted:
