Hi Elaina, I'm jumping from creative writing into literature. Definitely speak with your professors that you took the grad level lit courses with. They can help strengthen your application. If you apply to a funded MA program, it wouldn't hurt. The MA program can give you a chance to explore your research interests some more. I think it depends a lot on what your goals are and what you are most comfortable with.

Headed to Georgetown! I'm excited about the program, but nervous about the move.

And best of luck as you all work on making final decisions! Has anyone considered accepting unfunded offers in the hopes of finding other methods of funding between April-August?

Based on other threads from previous years there is quite a bit of shuffling around with funding in late March/early April. I'm trying to keep my hopes up! Which positions did you all apply for? I wonder if that makes a difference.

Hi Kamisha, I'm thinking I would salvage the overall structure of my SoP, but revise the content. My interests have stayed the same, but the last couple months of undergrad have reshaped the way I'd like to carry those over to grad school.
