Two rejections already via ApplyYourself. But weird that they're rejecting without sending out acceptances for CP, for instance. (As far as I know nobody has claimed acceptances in the comparative subfield)
I downloaded it. It is really a document from the PoliSci Department at UCSD. But make sure you click on the small Download button and not on the flashy, big and attractive one.
Edit: It's a PDF
In my case, I heard that some of the polisci faculty in charge of the CHSS cluster would not take many students this year. But, in any case, this Cluster initiative is indeed very interesting. By the way, congrats on your acceptance! Great program.
Did anyone apply to the interdisciplinary clusters offered by the Graduate School at NU? I submitted an additional statement for the Comparative and Historical Social Science Cluster, but now I'm skeptical about the fit with my interests. Anyway, I´m just another anxious applicant waiting on Northwestern.
As IRToni said, it's not completely clear whether Chicago has sent all acceptances and waitlists, but according to the Department's cryptic response, all decisions -hopefully a couple more acceptances- will come around the 18th of February.
I called Northwestern and was told that notifications should be coming out in the third week of february, which means it'll be someday next week. This was somehow confirmed to me by a faculty member who told me the committee should be soon releasing decisions, as the Department is planning to hold the prospective students visit in the first days of March. Hope they decide soon!
I also had an "interview" for Notre Dame, but it was actually a very informal chat, not longer than 15 minutes. Still waiting for admissions decisions! My subfield is CP.
This A Wuffle is actually known for publishing articles on very unusual topics and his website is somewhat inconsistent and childish. Some of his pieces are:
-"The pure theory of elevators"
-"Should you brush your teeth on November 6, 1984?: A rational choice perspective"
-"Death where is thy sting? The Senate as a Ponce (de Leon) scheme."
Well, after reading the titles, it becomes actually amusing.
