I have not received word from UMass Boston, ASU, Boise State, or (my number one) Indiana. I know some of these schools have accepted/rejected/waitlisted people already. How should I take this?
Not necessarily. For instance, the auxiliaries program is only for Americans and Canadians. I think. They help you get work or student visas. It is easier if you are though.
I've signed up with a few programs as I'm not sure which one I prefer. The Spanish government's auxiliaries program and Meddeas, a private program. If those don't pan out then OxfordTEFL in Barcelona to get certified and teach.
It's only McNeese. I'm from Louisiana; you aren't missing anything.
Any ideas for backup plans? I was thinking about teaching English in Spain for a year.
Hi, I know I'm barging in on all the loving, but my number one school is Indiana. And I've been rejected from pretty much everywhere else (11 schools). So it's looking pretty grim for me, and I just wanted to say thanks: for all the information on Indiana's results and for all the loving and hope. Haha. It makes my failure feel less terrible; if only I could explain it to my family. :/
