I will be I'm from Brooklyn and the commute out to GC is not bad (without traffic that is). Planning on checking out the Manhattan Center on Sunday.

Thanks for your input on St. John's, I appreciate it! As for Adelphi, yes I am definitely considering. As of right now I'm about 85% sure that I will be accepting my offer there. It has a very strong reputation and I know quite a few people who graduated from Adelphi. I'm not knocking St. John's in any way, it's just for me personally, I felt better getting the chance to talk to past students who are now working in the field. I also got to tour their facilities which are beautiful and so much bigger than what I'm used to at New Paltz. I believe St. John's is slightly more expensive than Adelphi but I'm not sure of the specific amount. I would still like to see St. John's program, but I don't know if I'll be home before the deadline to submit a deposit.

Never mind, I just checked the portal and saw that my status had been updated... rejected. Really bummed, Brooklyn was one of my top choices. Oh well, everything happens for a reason, right?

I'm in the same boat. It seems like quite a few people posted that they got in today. I'm praying that they didn't send out all the acceptances in one batch.

I also got the same email on Friday. I was planning on calling them at some point on Monday to double check that it was official. Does anyone know anything about the program?

I'm pretty sure all of our classes would be at the Manhattan Center. In-house practica and clinical seminars would be at the HWC. But someone who already graduated told me the seminars are only about once a month. Are you from the city?

I was! I'm also curious to know what people have heard about the program. I know Adelphi in general has a very good reputation, but I don't know specifics about the Manhattan Center. I toured the Hy Weinberg Center last week and the grad student I spoke with attends GC for classes so she couldn't tell me much. It's a beautiful facility though
