  1. Right there with you. Zero aid for me as well. Guess I’ll be going elsewhere. *shrugs* Best of luck to everyone else! It’s been a wild ride.
  2. Here in China, last night found out I was accepted (!) to HKS MPP and rejected by WWS MPA. I expected not to get into WWS, but absolutely did not expect Harvard to come through. Figured I’d be waitlisted at best. Fingers crossed that they offer some funding, but I’m just glad the waiting is over. Everyone on here knows what a beast the HKS application was, and what a test of patience this has all been. No matter the result, I think we should all be proud for sticking with it! In case anyone’s interested, the other two offers currently on the top of my list are Carnegie Mellon (MSPPM-DC, very generous scholarship) and Georgetown (MSFS, solid scholarship). If anyone on here also is looking at either of those programs and wants to chat and weigh options, send me a private message! Best wishes to all.
  3. I feel like this Office clip is the best representation of how we’ve all felt on this thread the last weeks: https://youtu.be/QOtuX0jL85Y
  4. I’m in Shenzhen for a long weekend (live in Hong Kong). Yourself? Would be a wild coincidence if you happened to be here too!
  5. Hey Jeremy! I’m very much the same, long-time lurker, also currently in China. Time difference/anticipation has done WONDERS for my sleep schedule the last couple weeks, haha! It’s been wonderful reading this thread and sharing in the collective neurosis. Best of luck to all!
  6. Hey all. Just chiming for those who were alternates. I got an alternate notification for a Taiwan ETA in mid-April and ended up moving up to Principal just a week later. I wanted to post about it on here earlier but there were some concerns about a language program I'm also enrolled in for the summer, and whether I could do both. As of now though, it looks like it won't be a problem. So Taiwan, here I come! As for other Alternates, definitely keep up hope! Again, it only took a week to be moved up so it can absolutely happen. Couldn't be more excited!
  7. Don't lose hope, I'm right there with you! You'll notice that the alternate email mentioned that they sometimes need to look at profile characteristics of alternates when a principal declines. So even if a principal drops out today or tomorrow, it probably takes a couple of weeks for them to weigh these various factors in their selection of a replacement. I myself am planning on continuing the job hunt, getting prepared for post-grad, and if the Fulbright comes through it'll be a nice surprise.
  8. Hey all, long-time lurker, first-time poster. Applied for a Fulbright ETA in Taiwan, and was notified today of my "alternate" status. So here's hoping some more funding becomes available. Anyone have any experiences moving up from alternate to principal? In any case, congratulations to all those selected - I hope to be joining you in Taiwan in the fall! Also thank you to everyone on the forum for making me realize that I haven't been alone in my neurotic email-checking habits the past few weeks.
