  1. Often times, credits do not transfer from a Masters to PhD, even if at the same institution! Masters courses are very different than PhD courses...I would look into this before assuming you can apply the credits. good luck.
  2. Thanks for the update Peter. Sorry it wasn't in your favor, but I am sure good news will come your way soon enough! I haven't heard anything yet....the waiting is torture! Good luck
  3. I would relax and do something fun! If you wanted to stay fresh, i would browse journal articles in your subject of interest...you will most likely be reading scholarly articles rather than texts. You should still have access to your online database from undergrad (PsycINFO, science direct, PsycARTICLES, etc..) If you really want to be an overachiever, you can familiarize yourself with SPSS and stats in general...You will need to learn what statistical analysis is appropriate for certain kinds of data sets. Also, concepts such as validity and reliability...maybe check out "Standards"... Good Luck..
  4. Hi ST, Does Cornell have an I-O Psych program? Thanks and good luck to you!
  5. Ive applied to all Phd I-O programs CUNY Hofstra Columbia Teachers College (org) Houston FIU- Fla International Portland State DePaul George Mason Maryland Albany GW
  6. Nothing yet, but I agree that its a bit early....very eager though and compulsively checking my app websites!
  7. Thanks for the update! Same here with that email...uh, the waiting game is not fun. Well good luck and lets keep each other posted! Take care
  8. I am nervous too...its a lot of pressure! I checked my online app and it said the same in terms of missing the grad dept accept ltr. I think the grad psych dept. notifies the admissions office when they make a decision, which is why this section is blank. Apparently they don't notify students until March! Let me know if you got any good information when you called. Thanks! Rachel
  9. Hi there, I also applied for that program and received a letter in the mail with the immunization form (bright pink form). Not sure why they need immunization info at this point....? I do not know what "grad dept accept ltr" means. I will check my app status now, as I havent done that yet. Good luck to you. Rachel
  10. excellent, thank you
  11. Sorry, but I am new here...where is the "results page" Thanks!
  12. When you take the test twice, do schools tend to look at your two highest scores?? Thanks again everyone!
  13. Thanks very much for your responses!!
  14. Wondering how many times most Psych students have taken the GRE. Do you stop when you get the ideal score, or when it looks weird to take it again...? Thanks!
