Haha yup! Its so weird that my decision is in there but I didn't get an email about it. Suspicious.

Ok when you get to where it says "submitted" click where it says "Fall 2015" and then "open application". That will take you to that page where it says "Application Status for First Name Last Name" and then there will be a status update right under where your name and app number is and you can click the link that says "view update" which takes you to the decision letter.

Did you log alllllll the way in to your app? That is where I saw my decision. I STILL never got the email but the official decision letter was in the portal.

Any regular 2-year day program people still waiting? I haven't heard yet!

@socialworkette thanks for sharing that experience. Like you said, not something to completely base your decision off of but it's another piece to the puzzle in figuring out which school is right for each of us. There are students in my current BSW program with negative things to say whereas I feel like it's a really strong curriculum, etc. MAN, this is such a tough decision!

I got in! I didn't get the email yet but I logged allll the way in to my app and there was a status update!

Is anyone else just feeling like straight up annoyed with Columbia? It's frickin mid-March and they have not given us (advanced standing people) decisions yet! Don't say March 1 if you have no intention of getting decisions out by March 1 nevertheless two weeks beyond that. They obviously go from who will be giving them the most money to least- international students, then 2 year students, then 1 year advanced standing students.

Yup, I heard back on Monday that I got in. It was a group email- very weird! (everyone was BCC'd on it). Hope you hear soon!

I also applied to PSU but for Advanced Standing so I heard back pretty quickly. It blew my mind that all application materials were to be sent in the mail as hard copies and then they literally sit around table opening packages and entering information into the database... it's so backwards! This is 2015, why are they not doing everything online?! Hahah Anyway, I think your plan sounds reasonable. Perhaps if PSU doesn't email you back by the end of the week you could call to let them know they are your top choice but that you are under pressure to make decisions and would just like to check on the status of your application. Good luck!

I'm going up to NYC (from Richmond, VA) next weekend to visit NYU and talk with an advisor, current students, and to take a tour. I will be sure to report back my observations and experience I went to Columbia this summer but only really interacted with the admissions rep who gave the presentation and tour. I loved how everything was housed in one building and that there was a little social work library! I applied Advanced Standing to Columbia so I am still waiting to hear back, but if I get in there too it will definitely be a tough choice. I hope more people contribute to this thread because I know there's a lot of us in the same boat trying to make this decision!

Thank you for the update. But, damn y'all this has gone on long enough! I feel like we keep hearing "this week, this week, this week" and then it's the next week. So stressful.

I didn't ask about 2yr I just asked about the status of my application which is when she told me about ASP decisions going out on Monday. From what I understand 2yr decisions started going out this week.

Alright I called. She said no advanced standing students have heard yet. You *might* hear tonight but most likely it will be early next week.

Hey Advanced Standing people! Does anyone want to call and see if they can check on the status of their application? I really don't want to call again if they're not going to tell me anything (I called last week) but want to know if they will give out that info to someone since it's friday of the week AFTER march 1

It's driving me crazy waiting!!!

I applied for advanced standing and am still waiting. I don't think Ive heard any ASP students getting in yet?
