  1. Sorry to hear that. But it bodes extremely well for your other applications that you got an interview at Wisconsin!
  2. By the way does anyone know how the funding set up works at Texas? I was re-reading the website and came away rather confused. Does anyone know how many admits are left unfunded every year?
  3. Best thing about this is that I literally just visited Austin and walked around the entire campus about two weeks ago. I really do like Austin quite a bit.
  4. Thanks! Comm Studies. Specifically, rhetoric and philosophy. It's really perfect since I've done more philosophy than rhetoric.
  5. Haven't got any information about funding yet. The e-mail said those decisions will be made within the next few weeks.
  6. I know how you feel! The only thing that keeps me sane is thinking that this decision cycle is only a second in the infinite history of the world. Whether we all get accepted or rejected it doesn't really mean that much in the bigger story of history. Who knows what we will think about these days in 20 or 50 years?
  7. The worst bit about it is that it appears that some of the schools send out acceptances/rejections based on certain areas within their program at different times.
  8. The thing that I really enjoy about the PCA conferences is that they are extremely laid back and many of the people who present at the conferences are presenting the stuff they really like researching. Plus, people aren't as competitive there either.
  9. Congrats on the other phone interview by the way! Yes. I'm going to both the SWPCA in Albuquerque and the National one in New Orleans. Which one are you going to?
  10. I've taught 7 or 8 public speaking classes and TA'd a couple of graduate communication classes. I also RA'd for a health comm grant.
  11. I visited the USC campus this weekend and have to say that it is definitely in the running for number 1. Their brand new building is incredible.
  12. Looks like Maryland has already interviewed at least some people and Georgia State has accepted at least one.
  13. Hello to all of you who are applying for doctorate programs for 2016! You are not wasting your time by reading this thread. Everything that has been, and will be, posted within this forum thread is brilliant. Best of luck to you!
