hey! anyone else accepted to St. Ambrose and think they will be attending?

I haven't heard anything yet either...does this mean we're rejected?

The competitiveness of the field is crazy, but if you're really determined to become an SLP, you can do it. I remember last year being so disappointed and hearing people say "this is my second/third time applying so don't give up" and I just never thought I would get in. But hard work paid off for the both of us! congrats to you on your acceptance as well!! Yes it is St. Ambrose! I would love to talk about the area and potential places to live if I end up there (since you're from around there you would know best!) I am from Boston and have never been anywhere besides the East coast!

After 2 years of applying and receiving 8 straight rejections across the board last year, I finally got accepted into grad school today!!!! I can't even explain how happy I am. Taking the year off and building resume really helped me so much. My fingers are crossed for everyone else!!!

Is it rude or would you look bad if your were to email a school asking when you will hear back if you've seen other people posting acceptances? I have one school that's really my top choice and someone got accepted yesterday, but only one person. I am getting so anxious!

Does anyone have any past experience with Towson university, Missouri state, or university of South Dakota and know what the chances are of getting off the wait list? I know it varies for each school and year, but I didn't know if people knew if it was likely people got off the wait list at these schools. It's my second year applying and all I really have right now are wait lists, no acceptances! Any info would help, thanks!

got two more wait lists yesterday and today...still waiting on that one acceptance! fingers crossed....I saw people heard back from Montevallo. anyone else apply there? also does anyone know when we will be hearing back from Fort Hays?

Got my second wait list from University of South Dakota. I was put on the "alternate wait list", no idea what that means. It looks as if they are another school that doesn't reject anyone and just wait lists all of the people not accepted, so that's disappointing (I could be wrong but from previous years I didn't see many rejections).

I hate how some schools sent out an email when they will notify applicants of their decision and then a week after that deadline I still haven't heard anything yet....this wait is so painful!!

Random question. For the people who have been accepted via mail, do you usually receive big packets in the mail or just a letter? I've been told if it's just a letter it's most likely a rejection.

that's what I thought too! yes it said I was deferred until spring 2016 and then it said I could be pulled off the deferred list if spots open up. I wish! I'm going to contact the department and ask. I think basically I got wait listed and my application got pushed to spring 2016. But I am going to contact them and make sure I am understanding it correctly.

Just got my first notification from University of central Missouri and it said I was deferred. Does anyone know what exactly deferred means?

Anyone else apply to University of Montevallo? I saw on the results page someone got an interview. I didn't even know they did interviews.

I actually had no problems and thought CSDCAS was such an easy and helpful application. I compared it to the common app since you can send it to so many other schools. If you enter the information in ahead of time and submit it well before the deadline (it says online you should submit 4 weeks before) you shouldn't have a problem. This is my second time applying and second time using it and liked that for schools I didn't need to send out 3 different applications and could just use the CSDCAS for all three.

did anyone apply to murray state? the e-mail when I submitted my application said we should know towards the end of February but last year they didn't tell anyone until the end of march?
