did anyone have their St. Ambrose interview today? I am doing it over the phone or skype (not sure what they do if you cannot make it out) but I haven't heard back from them regarding this yet

just got notified that I have an interview for Fort Hays on Saturday! anyone else? or does anyone know what to expect?

Anyone else apply to fort hays? I saw from last year people heard about interviews all this week but I haven't seen anyone post anything about the, so far.

Got an invitation for an interview at St. Ambrose last night! Has anyone had an interview with them before and know what it's like? I know they interviewed on January 31st. Or did anyone interview with them last year? I would be flying from Boston and am trying to get an idea of if I should fly out or do a "remote" interview?

I know! I have called all the schools to check in and some just don't update the portal at all. It's like what is even the point of telling me to check the portal!? But my last deadlines are approaching on February 1st so I wanted to double check....luckily I did!

hey just a heads up to everyone. I strongly suggest contacting the schools and making sure everything is in that needs to be. Some schools I have contacted to double check and they haven't received anything and never were going to notify me.

I applied to Fort Hays. According to last years results it seems like people started finding out around February 10th.

is anyone else applying to eastern new mexico and have submitted or started the essay portion yet?

Hi everyone, I was in a similar boat last week. I had asked two professors (one CSD and one sign language) to write letters and one professional. For some reason one if my academic references submitted her letter to two schools and just stopped sending it to all other schools. I asked in August and gave her the packet beginning of October with step by step information on what to do. Long story short, i have three schools with deadlines on the 15th (tomorrow) and she hasn't answered my emails in over 2 weeks. Fortunately I was able to find someone to write a letter for me,but she is a speech pathologist, not an academic reference. So Now I technically have 2 professional and one academic. A lot of schools require 2 academic. Should I email the schools and tell them the situation?

@onedayslp I can't stop checking my email, this website, and all application portals. It's driving me crazy already!

@timberlake I feel the same way! This is my second time applying. I applied to 8 schools last year. I think I'm a better candidate this year due to my better GRE scores and better SOP. I'm hoping I did enough research with the schools I am applying to. Last year I applied to schools I probably didn't have a good shot of getting into. Crossing my fingers I'll get in this year!

If the application needs to be verified by the 15th I would submit it as soon as possible. I am sure they are backed up from all of the applications submitted over the holiday break as well.

8 out of 14 apps are sent in....I'm not sure I will be able to wait until March to hear anything! I remember how stressful it was last year and I am not looking forward to it again this year haha

I did an internship at a private speech and OT clinic with kids ages 2-11, observation hours at a rehab hospital, take sign language, work at a school in the special education rooms, volunteer with deaf and hard of hearing children, and volunteer with the adult disabled popluation

@missthang...do you mind me asking what these schools were that looked at the whole application that you applied to?

when writing the letter of intent/personal statement what are peoples thoughts about mentioning professors at the University and how you are interested in their research?

I am from Massachusetts and am applying to schools in 11 different states. The closest state is Maryland and the furthest state is New Mexico. I will not be visiting any schools until I find out of acceptance. Most schools have accepted students day so there should be other days you can visit the department. I have never been to 10/11 states I'm applying to, but to be honest this is my second time applying and wherever I get in I'll take it!
