  1. Don't count yourself out just yet! I had a 3.3 cumulative GPA, 3.5 major GPA, V: 148 Q: 152 AW: 4.0 The first time, I only applied to 3 schools and got rejected from all of them. Afterwards, I started looking at ways to make myself a better candidate and ended up landing a job as an SLPA at a pediatric outpatient clinic. This reaffirmed my love for the field and gave me solid experience as a clinician. I think its so awesome that you have experience with ABA, because where I work-we see so many children with challenging behaviors-and it makes me wish that I got exposure to that prior to working in the field. Anyways I definitely felt discouraged and thought there was no chance I would get in. So I spent a lot of time researching schools. I applied to 10 schools this cycle, and actually got accepted to one of them last week! So it's possible. Hard work does pay off in the end, and I don't think you should give up if this is your dream! Maybe you could schedule a campus visit at some of the schools and express your interest? It could help putting a face to a name especially if you're on the waitlist!
  2. I'm in the same boat! I accepted my admission offer last week and haven't received an email since. I'm guessing they are still sending out acceptance offers and trying to solidify the cohort? I was freaking out because I was worried that they might not have gotten my email, or that I didn't send it before the Mountain Time deadline. Lol. But I guess no one has heard back yet!
  3. So I applied for the fall 2015 cycle and didn't receive any acceptances I was wondering if anyone was in the same boat and planning on applying for spring admission?? Its really tough putting your all in your applications and receiving nothing but rejections. If anyone could give their input on things you could do to strengthen your app for their next cycle, that would be amazing! I've barely started researching schools that offer spring admission, and so far have Appalachian State College of St. Rose Baylor University Eastern Michigan University Grand Valley State University of Central Florida University of Nebraska-Omaha University of Northern Iowa University of Texas at Dallas If anyone could help add to that list, I would greatly appreciate it!
  4. I think you have a chance! and I am rooting for you all the way

  6. I'm still waiting to hear back from ACU too!! laurakt -Do you know if ACU gives interviews to all of their accepted applicants? If we didn't receive one, should we be expecting a rejection letter?
