Did anyone else get a confusing e-mail saying the GRE registration number they provided was linked to a subject test? I've never even taken a subject test, and have only taken the general GRE once. Obviously I've emailed the NDSEG folks, but I'm wondering if it was a mass email error.
the 400 character limits were tough, but the 3000 character limit on the goals statement is driving me nuts. it isn't worth hours of my time just so they have 50 fewer words to read :/
That's a really good point. I'm uncomfortable with the idea that my future peers will know potentially intimate details about my life that my letter writers chose to disclose. Plus the fact that I myself won't ever know what's in those letters...
Out of curiosity, what else do you know about their process? Are they looked at in a certain order? Are they passed on to professors all at once, or in waves? How are applications rated?
