I called the grad admissions office & it seems for Spring admits, we will not be able to create our CUNYFirst accounts until Sept./Oct. That is also when we will receive our official letters. So I believe fin aid is done at different times for Fall & Spring admits.

That is such great news!! Congratulations. Is it a specific scholarship? Are you going in the Fall or Spring? -
I called the fin aid dept and they said to fill out a CUNY supplement form on cunyfirst after April 15th
-
Will you be going to Yale or Columbia?
-
I haven't received mine yet either. I responded right after receiving the email, saying I would be attending.

Accepted and going!

On interview day, they explained that there was no hierarchy for fall and spring acceptances but that they divided the groups up according to who they thought would work well with each other (artwork wise) in terms of the final show. -

I am wondering the same thing FAR. Were you able to resolve this? I am missing a letter on two of my applications. I hope it is forthcoming but I'd rather not risk it so I tried to go back into my applications to add another name but it wouldn't allow it. I think I might email the schools and see if I can send in hard copies. Has anybody else dealt with this? -

I had a school email me on Saturday because I was missing something. -
Sounds like you are a creative thinker with an interesting repertoire.

If it makes you feel any better, I did the same thing Anna12! Only on one of my images, also on the Yale application. I'd like to think it's not too significant. In the end, it's your art work that matters most. -

Jl10 I have a question for you, after submitting your VCU application, how long did it take to get the information from them to submit your images? That's my last application and I'm waiting on that. -

Yeah I figured you would have to be. Strange that it would say that. Just to throw you off a bit and make sure you're on your game -

I see them as different sections. When I'm on the Apply Now page, it says The Fall application for School of the Arts graduate programs. And I see up on top, other sections, one of which is for summer/global but it looks like a different application and it's through the School of continuing ed dept. -

Jl10, I just submitted mine earlier today and I don't recall seeing that. -
They are concerned with scale and tactility so the paintings must show the edge of the work. No, I don't think you should put a chair in the photo. If you are showing a 3-d piece, that should show the surrounding space.

Documenting work can be challenging. For future reference you might want to try getting a macro lens. It's especially beneficial for photographing smaller, detailed works. I use it for everything and switch lens when I need shots that require distance. Lighting, however, is another story. I'm still working on that as well. But a little bit of photoshop might help you there. -

++++++++ your work really appeals to me. I like how much I can see the artist's hand in it yet it's also conceptual. Is that right? How do you describe it? It's tactile and I feel a lot of emotion from your work. I wish your photos were little more clear though. -

Your work looks phenomenal FAR. I especially enjoyed viewing the works on Mylar. I also like that you have included the R & D section as it gives further insight into your thinking. I have no doubt you will have your choice of which program to go into. Good Luck!
