  1. Yep, I was accepted and my status also changed to "invited" so... congrats!
  2. That's good to know, I'm most interested in working as a therapist. I've already worked as a therapist and have a strong foundational clinical skill set, so I'm wondering which of the programs will offer me the most challenge for further growth and development of my skills.
  3. Prairiegirl, do you know anyone who's done Calgary's MSW, or do you know much about the program in general? I only know what's on the website, and would love to learn more. The program looks really neat and well integrated (with the capstone project)... but I'd love to hear more first- or second-hand experiences. Having gotten into U of T and Carlton too, I'm finding it difficult to decide! Tbh it would have been easier to have been accepted to only 1 or 2 schools! But I really can't complain, of course. I'd love to hear more about any of the schools I applied to, if anyone has experience/connections lemme know.
  4. I applied to the 1 year MSW program at UBC and haven't heard back yet, I have a friend who heard she was accepted last week I think? So I'm thinking I probably didn't get in there, but still kinda hoping... :-) It would be nice to be in Vancouver for a year! What do you know about the program? Have you heard feedback from students/recent grads?
  5. Oh and I meant to say, my ROSI did change for U of T, I don`t know when it changed but I think I first checked it two days ago. It says "invited." The graduate school application page status never changed though.
  6. Yes, congrats Prairiegirl!!! :-) Are you planning to go there, now? (I can't remember where all you applied).
  7. Yes, it's for the one year MSW! Don't panic, you got this :-)
  8. K, so, I don't want to be the cause of more heart attacks, but I just got an acceptance email from Carleton. Maybe this will help: http://marc.ucla.edu/mpeg/04_Meditation_for_Working_with_Difficulties.mp3
  9. Thank you!!! Pretty sure I submitted just under the wire, on Dec 15th. Good luck! Hopefully you'll hear soon too.
  10. Thanks Prairiegirl and smpalesh! Prairiegirl, I'm also from the prairies so U of Calgary and U of Manitoba were my "back up" schools closer to home. I was disbelief about getting into U of T, like some others in this forum. I would like to go there for sure but will wait to hear back from the other schools. If I get in to UBC it will be a tough call as I'd love to spend a year by the ocean. Calgary's program does seem really great, anyone know much about it? It might be nice to be at a bit of a smaller school and city...
  11. I graduated with my BSW in 2012. Before and during my degree I volunteered in peer support and in crisis counselling. Since graduating I have worked as a mental health program instructor, health outreach worker and in crisis counselling positions. I am currently a full-time counsellor at a not-for-profit.
  12. Eep! I found "the big envelope" from U of T in my mailbox yesterday! I'm beyond thrilled and still sort of not believing it! Anyone else get in yet!? My status hasn't changed online yet BTW.
