  1. Hi all, I live in CT and just received a rejection letter from BC dated February 15th. It looks like there was a delay in mailing the notifications. I presume those placed on the waitlist would have received an email by now. This is certainly not the most transparent process. Best of luck to all!
  2. Hi there, I also applied to Drew's GDR doctoral program, but haven't heard anything. If you take a look at the results page from previous years, most of the acceptances for the PhD program were received in early/mid-March. I suspect they admit their masters-level applicants first and then make executive decisions about PhD applicants since they (or we, in this case) undergo a more thorough review process. That's my guess. The confirmation letters that we received weeks ago, as I recall, didn't indicate when exactly we would hear from them.
  3. For those of you who applied and were admitted to GWU's MPP program, how many years of work experience do you have? And in what sectors (public, private, etc.)?
  4. Thees, did you interview at Emory last weekend? If not, the website indicates that the GDR will contact folks who were not invited to interview to inform them whether their applications are still under consideration. If they didn't use the term "waitlist" to describe the status of your application, I think they are letting you know that your application is still undergoing review - so, perhaps they haven't decided who to waitlist yet. I also applied to Emory, but didn't get an invitation to interview. I have yet to hear about the status of my app. Does anybody else know what's going on?
  5. Actually, take another look at the tail end of the email: "This e-mail is intended for students who have been recommended for admission to the MPP or MPA at the Trachtenberg School, which is part of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at the George Washington. You may not have yet received an official decision letter; your admission status should be viewable on your applyourself.com application account and you can expect the mailed version shortly. This is not an offer of admission. If you feel you have received this message in error, please call (202) 994-6210 or email askccas@gwu.edu." It says "This is not an offer of admission". I still find it bizarre that they sent this out to all applicants regardless of their application status. I guess they were worried about the february 15th deadline for the first fellowship opportunity listed.
  6. I received a similar email today as an applicant for the masters-level program in public policy. Very very very misleading email. Be sure to check the website for a decision letter - there might be one. I did not receive an additional notice guiding me to the website, but I checked my application status soon after I received this fellowship email and discovered I was not recommended for admission. Boo! Good luck!
