  1. in addition to that great list, a piece of advice i learned from a person who's been on the other side of interviews is to make it clear why you are a great fit for the program and it is for you.
  2. yes @Boseph16 & @GunningForGrad!!! kill those interviews. maybe they have yet to call for sf?!
  3. @Loose.tap.screws you don't need to recheck your apps unless you think it's not submitted or you're waiting on the school to receive a document. Usually once it's submitted the "submitted" notification will be sufficient. In the past I have received calls from schools that have only read "submitted" on my application. @GunningForGrad my app for yale has never changed statuses once submitted. Thank goodness we have this forum, otherwise our collective search for answers might explode the world! DID ANYONE HEAR FROM YALE TODAY?
  4. god i hope you get it @Loose.tap.screws! finger's crossed.
  5. @Directorialfor sharing. it's helpful to hear. @Boseph16 two years ago was anomaly bc liz was mid production during interviews. i got a call that year around the same time others did (before that winter gap- my interview was early). last year it looks like the forum got their calls all within a two day stretch. of course i hope you're right, but i wanted to share. i find it strange that no one on here got an interview for yale though. at least a few should have... but ce la vie! more schools to put focus on. i applied to bu too. i'm really excited about there program, so hope to hear from them in a month or so.
  6. thanks @Directorial! that's super helpful to hear.
  7. ha. I didn't know that about the CMU directing program. I heard that about the playwriting program actually. have you asked to speak to a current student? it's super helpful to talk to someone currently in the program before the interview. i felt the same way about columbia but spoke to a graduate student and the theatre admissions office. they both said that there is need based fin aid available & that some current students had it. figured I'd apply. i'll let y'all know if i get a call. good luck.
  8. hi all! great to hear everyone's submissions are going well so far. it's so hard to get a pulse on what to expect for spring when you're waiting to hear back about interviews and auditions. i love this thread because it is so informative and gives a little touch of the world when directing can be such a solo life. has anyone received a call from columbia or yale about an interview or audition yet?
