  1. I am in painting but the sculpture program is KILLER and I loooove Jude ! She is my favorite teacher so far !
  2. I also stand by decision, even if it "disturbes" you. It shouldn't because you don't know me, it doesn't concern you, and you have no idea how I intend to pay for college or what funds I have.
  3. Okay so I applied straight from undergrad and got in several places. I had to work while in school and had to manage my time at both work and school and art. I have two degrees, a BFA and french. I spent two years in France to get real life experience in my sophomore and junior year of college. I've matured greatly and developed a core foundation of critical thinking that I apply to my life everyday. I think ones track is personal and unique. Some people come out of undergraduate school mature and well rounded. Others don't. I would say it depends .
  4. i think it depends. Last week I was moved off of two waitlists

Anyone want a roommate to share a place in northern liberties or fishtown ? I'll be at Tyler school of art and am looking into these two neighborhoods. PM me I'll be in a graduate program so I'm not looking/keen on roommates who love house parties and need a semi quiet environment. That said I'm outgoing and easy to get along with ! -Sarah
  6. I'm biased I want to tell you Tyler !! Sounds like hunter is a great opportunity
  7. One of my friends went to CCA for design and got a full time big boy job in SF doing exactly that. The connections are great and he calls himself a not so starving artist. He job his job specifically because of a connection at CCA
  8. There's a group of them you can apply for but after you start your MFA practice. CCA will give you information on these when you're there. Sounds like CCA would be a good fit for you. The Bay Area is great and the way of life in California is amazing with health a priority. But I grew up here so I'm biased
  9. Decided on Tyler ! A madison and SFSU spot should open up and I'll be taken off the upenn, UNC and UGA waitlist
  10. My favorite artist goes there. Check out Cathy Ellis
  11. can anyone speak for the differences between the two year and three year program? seems like the better ranked schools are two year. Just curious of the pros and cons
  12. CCA is a pretty amazing place. Really really Great program. More theory then technical. More conceptual. My friend went there and got a super nice job in SF afterwards because of the connections. The bay area is a lot. But there's so many scholarships for grad students who study there. If you decide CCA, look into those and you'll be fine
  13. It could be the teacher doing Rome the first semester (I interviewed with him but forgot his name) wants to work with you ! I studied abroAd two yesrs in my undergrad in FrAnce. This is a great offer and you get to see all the masters for a couple months and be in Europe ! Don't be scared !! This is exciting congrats !!
  14. I got full funding for madison and stipend, but only half and half the stipend for Tyler. I really want to go to Tyler tho ! Anyone else having similar dilemas ?
  15. My application says waitlisted but Mark emailed me today about my acceptance. Maybe you got in too ! Not sure how accurate that info on the site is after that
  16. Anyone hear back from the Ta assistantship with Madison ?
  17. I actually got into Tyler ! With funding Ta assistantship healthcare and funding ! The whole waitlist thing was a scare !
  18. ugh thanks for the info ! still cant find anything concerning acceptance, rejection or a waitlist
  19. do we check on the same page we applied? or is it through owlnet or whatever with our student ids which are temporary ?
