  1. Thank you FinalDanish - you've convinced me. My first choice is still Fischer at ND if I can get in. If not, I'll contact University Edge and let them know you referred me.
  2. FinalDanish - Let us know how University Edge Apartments look; they look amazing on the website. I've applied for the on-campus FOG housing and haven't heard anything yet. If I don't get in, I'll be looking for a roommate(s) and a place. I'm in CA now so hard to do much looking from here.
  3. And for people looking at this for Fall of 2016, for many of us the application season felt disappointing until April 14th or 15th!
  4. Just rejected my UT Austin offer. Best wishes, everyone!!
  5. I had been on the waitlist for AZ but took myself off today. I hadn't heard anything since the beginning of March.
  6. Was waitlisted at Notre Dame at the beginning of March. Does anybody know when their department visits take place, and is anybody planning on turning down their offer?
  7. Thank you for all your responses. You've definitely given me good stuff to think about. There are only a couple of faculty who share my same AOI as their primary interest at the PhD program I was accepted to. Neither of them teach graduate classes in my AOI, so there aren't many classes offered that seem appealing compared to the ones offered in the MA program. I'm also concerned about the working conditions and quality of life at the PhD program, but I'll be visiting soon to get some of those questions addressed. This is a very confusing process, but I feel relieved that I'll be studying somewhere in the fall. Thank you again for all the help!!
  8. I need help with this as well. Accepted to a PhD program ranked PGR between 16-20 that I'm not excited about. Also accepted to NIU MA with very likely full funding with stipend. How risky/foolish is it to turn down the PhD and reapply in two years for a higher ranked and better fit program?
