Would you rather be in a concentrated environment (your program is the only offered) or an interdisciplinary research environment?

Well in CS there are about 1 million (more or less) specializations inside it. So I would like to mix a couple of those together in my studies (AI with Networks and Security). As for adding non-CS fields, it is done a lot in CS anyway so I guess it is the better environment in my field (like applying computing to biology, or chemistry, or finance).
