Expect Vanderbilt decisions by late Next week. Email from POI

I don't know if I should be concerned about not receiving a Vandy email requesting interview. I worked with the dept this past summer and I have pretty good rapport with the dept. They know me well enough to not need to request an interview, but who knows.

I didn't apply to Harvard because it simply wasn't a good fit. The faculty interests did not mesh with my own at all.

I applied to Columbia and NYU Sociology. Waiting to hear back patiently. Do they do interviews anyone heard anything?

As I understand it, some programs are just better at it than others. It's a combination of how many reviewers on the committe, when the deadline was, how many spots they have to make, how easily they cut off people or do they give every app a thorough look...So on and so forth.

Aside from Stony Brook I have not heard back from any of the other schools on my list yet. IF you guys do, let me know. Yale (Political Science), Princeton (Political Science), Uconn (Political Science), Stony Brook (Political Science), Rutgers (Political Science), Vanderbilt (Political Science).

Anyone applying to the following Schools Poli Sci Phd? Yale, Princeton, Rutgers, Uconn, Stony Brook, and Vandy?

I recieved an email requesting an Interview from Stony Brook University, they said my application stood out favorably. How good of a sign is this do you think in terms of admission?
