  1. Hopefully they get back to us before March. I think the website says February. Fingers crossed they aren’t that late this year.
  2. Is this something that you can address with a professor or mentor in the department? Sorry I can’t be of much help to you, but perhaps looking into some non-university writing services would help you out. All the best to you.
  3. What field/department are you pursuing your postdoc in? Does the institution you’re at provide any writing help services? Maybe this is something you can look into.
  4. Thanks for the link! Hopefully the results aren’t that late this time around. I read that we are supposed to hear back some time in February. Best of luck to you on your application!
  5. I will be reviewed by Committee 4 as well! Do you have any idea how many applicants usually apply for SSHRC Postdoc and how many win?
  6. Hi everyone, I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has applied for the SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship? Thought I would start a forum to wait out the results with others.
  7. My email came from Erin as well. You should check your student centre account and look under 'external scholarships' or something like that. It lists your awards and it should tell you what your SSHRC status is. Best of luck
  8. Western emailed me to let me know that SSHRC notified them with the results. I've been waitlisted. Better than being rejected, and at least I was awarded OGS earlier today, so I'm happy either way!! Good luck everyone!
  9. Have either of you received a formal letter about your wait list status?
  10. Got the official letter today. Wait listed for PhD Social Justice.
  11. Absolutely! But I've been accepted elsewhere and I was hoping that I would finally decide which school I would be attending. Being waitlisted has just thrown everything off! Hopefully the process isn't too long! Do you have any idea how many people have been waitlisted?
  12. As am I..although I was really hoping that if I wasn't accepted I would just get a rejection!
  13. I've applied to the PhD program in SJE. Haven't heard anything yet nor have I emailed them. For those wait listed, do you know how many people are also on the wait list? I've been accepted elsewhere but rejected all but one, not only because of deadlines but I feel bad for people on the wait list. I did manage to extend the deadline for the one school I'm content with attending, but still want to wait to see what OISE says.
  14. I'd definitely go with McGill. I did my masters there and may be going back for my PhD. The 11k for living expenses is pretty good. For such a major city, cost of living is super low. Aside from that, Montréal is an awesome city.
