I got into Georgetown!! AHHHH! Is this really happening?

I've been trying to do something nice for myself every time I get a rejection. Ya know, to soften the blow and all. After I was rejected from Boston College, I finished a whole puzzle about Revolutionary War sites (http://www.amazon.com/White-Mountain-Puzzles-American-Revolution/dp/B0009STH6G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424995973&sr=8-1&keywords=revolutionary+war+puzzle) I just saw my rejection from UVA. Heartbreaker. I am very interested in Grace Hale's studies on whiteness and race in the American South... oh well... So, now I'm considering treating myself to a presidential campaign button, like this Teddy Roosevelt First Voters Club from 1904: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111475353163?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This may ease the pain... but oh, to study in the halls where TJ once walked! Any other political item collectors around here? Hope everyone's week ends with a wonderful acceptance!!

I saw a rash of Boston College rejections with MA offers, but only one previous BC admittance. Are people just not reporting on the results page, or is this some strange wave notification system?

Your positivity is contagious I think I just had too many reach schools this go around (Harvard, Columbia, Berkeley, Stanford, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, UVA, UMD, and Boston College). 0-4 so far, probably more unofficially based on the results page. Not that my stats are bad, but it seems like they are nothing compared to everyone with master's degrees! I thought being on a "nontraditional" track would be appealing to adcoms (I did Teach For America after college and I'm still teaching now). So my fingers will stay crossed until the end of March! Good vibes, everybody.

Guys... it is starting to look like I am not getting in anywhere... maybe I should start trolling around usajobs for a Park Ranger position? Congrats Chiqui and all the other recent admits! Here's to more good news on this hump day!!
