I received an acceptance at an excellent and expensive university for my masters. I was told every grad student would receive the same financial package. 75% tution with a TA postions. Can I ask for more money? I have read here that some people have full tution waivers and a stipend given to them. I' m very nervous about borrowing a lot of money (25,000$). First time grad student here. I have NO idea how to ask or if I'm getting a greatt deal? What would you do?
Couldn't find any exact number. But they take about 80 art graduate students/year and there are 5 concentrations. So you do the math. (FYI- About 800 applicants/year).
I have been to interviews this year (not Hunter) that brought about 38 ppl in for 8 grad positions. I'm sure numbers vary according to schools and the year.
Good luck to everyone this week. The interviews, the waiting and the nerves. Thus begins the start to the BIG finish. These next 2 to 3 weeks are important. To all that try and might not pull off that brass ring, know that we learned a lot through the process and can always try again. Salute!
