  1. I did my undergrad at USC. It is a really fun school. Dr. Gwara was one of my professors. He had at least one grad student under him when I had his class, so I'm sure you have a chance! PM me if you have any questions about the school! Also, I will be attending UNC-Wilmington for my MA.
  2. I'm in the same boat, but to Chapel Hill, Vanderbilt and Rochester. What softcastle said about implied rejections seems to be the case. Sorry, but you aren't alone.
  3. Fantastic. Let us know what you find out. I applied there as well.
  4. I did actually receive it during the beginning of this week, and right as you posted this I had already emailed the DGS. Funding is the main factor in deciding where I will go, as I only have about $6k in undergrad debt. And thanks so much for the congrats. I did also apply to the Chapel Hill and Vanderbilt PhD programs and have not heard back. I am taking that as implied rejections.
  5. I applied to a few MA programs as well as a couple MA programs. I did get accepted to the MA program at UNC-Wilmington, but the online decision letter said absolutely nothing about funding or whether I received an assistantship. Anyone have any experience with them? I also applied the U of Tennessee Knoxville, MA. I have yet to hear anything back from them.
  6. Well good luck. It is just driving me up the wall as UNC is my first choice.
  7. To my knowledge, I don't think they do interviews for the English department. At least, no one on the results page said anything about it. I thought about emailing, but I don't want to nag at them. I have already been in contact with them about changing my recommendation reading rights around.
  8. Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while, but a first time poster. So, I applied to the Ph.D program at UNC Chapel Hill and have yet to receive any notification. According to the results page some people have received their admission status for this program. What do you think my best course of action is? Wait it out? Call the admissions department? Does this mean I am out of luck? (and yes, I know it is very competitive, I am just curious)
