oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one checking multiple times a day. And no, I haven't yet... as much I am looking forward to being free from the unknown, I'm honestly too scared to actually know my results.

Indeed, it could be for the letterhead. She did say "result document" afterall. And yeah, I was going to say that I am DEFINITIVELY overanalyzing this. Why am I like this?

Usually they only let the successful applicants know. At least, that's what my school did last year. ?

I wonder if maybe they realised they couldn't actually create a portal in time for this wave of results? I mean, this is SSHRC that we are talking about... We still had to mail in our application last year ?

Gosh does this resonate with me ?

How interesting...?

I was just thinking the exact same thing! I doubt it but again, we are living some wild times so I am now expecting the unexpected hahahaha

Actually, I think it was always there. I actually just noticed I had a message from my university on it that dates from October 2019... I'm not sure it ever sent me an email to let me know, but that might be my bad memory.

Oh gosh, I am not ready, y'all ?but also SSHRC, please save us from the misery that is waiting for our results. ?

Well that sucks big time. It's a surprise for me as well, tbqh. I have quite a lot of conference presentations, some publications, a grant for knowledge mobilization, and I did win the SSHRC CGS-M a few years back. I wonder if it is because my grant comes from CIHR -- I did make sure to make my proposal and all my documents very SSHRC-y (approved by 3 faculty members as well) and I was told my grant would only benefit me (and not cause me "trouble")... but I wonder, now, if that could be why I wasn't successful....

Is anyone from UVic? Do we know if they send out e-mails to students? Ngl, I'm kinda freaking out at the moment.

Well, that is interesting!! Except, I wonder if last year's process sent all the first wave of offers at the same time, which would have led to 'many' seats to be filled up as people were rejecting the offers for other offers... while this year, it seems like they waited for the first wave of offers to send back their answers before sending a final wave of offers (the third one). Ok... I'm not sure I make sense here, but yeah. I think the process was different the years before. And yeah, bums me out too lol oh well. Let's stay positive!

Yeah, I was the one who thought it was 75 people on the wait-list... I vaguely remember that number from a previous post. And concerning the people on this forum, we have yet to hear of a rejection.. So I am wondering if they didn't wait-list pretty much everyone who didn't get an offer but respected the minimum criteria they had...which would be pretty stupid tbh, but I also always wondered if they exaggerated the number of applicants... But why would they do that? I really don't know. Anyways, if 75 people are wait-listed, then I expect the wait-list to actually be of around 60 by early May.
